"It's A Wonderful Life..."

"It's A Wonderful Life..."

We are almost there....

It is getting so close. Only 5 days until Louis leaves Iraq. It has been a very long haul. I am so glad that God was able to sustain our family while he was gone. My prayers go out to those who are going over or are over there now. It is so sad how long this war is going on. My baby brother is over there now as well as a few good friends. I am saddened by all of this. Enough is enough. Selah.

What a beautiful morning!

Today is a beautiful morning! I went for a short run and it is near 30 degrees. Amazing that it was getting light out that early. I left the house around 4:55 am. It is so nice to see spring around the corner. With spring Louis will be home and things will start to resemble normal again. I forgot what normal is. Maybe things are normal now, who knows. In any case I am really excited to have my husband home and my helper. Well today is another work day #3 of 4. I am ready. I think today will be a good day. Well, God Bless!!

Dear Trevor,

You do not know me nor do I know you; however, today my heart breaks for you. Today you have gone home to be with our heavenly father and I know your family are missing you terribly. You see tonight I can't sleep because of the sadness I feel in my heart. I feel just a small amount of the pain that your family feels right now. I just can't imagine the full extent of the pain and I hope that I never have to understand it. You were only 10 years old and your dad will miss out on seeing you grow up and so will your step mom. I have known them for years and I wish I could take away just a little of the pain that they feel right now. You were far too young to leave, far too young. I know that God must have some special plans for you right now in heaven and that must be why he called you home so soon. Sometimes it is hard to understand His reasons but I know that He only has our best interests at heart. I know He will take good care of you Trevor. Hopefully someday I will have the chance to meet you and I know your dad will look forward to the day when he will see you again too. God Bless you Trevor and we will all miss you here. Sincerely, Rita
